The book concludes with an essay on the meaning and the consequences of death for our present life.

This book has been written as a practical and pastoral resource book to help young Orthodox clergy not only to conduct effectively the funeral and memorial services in their parishes, but also to have ready at hand the Orthodox theological reflections and biblical teachings on death and on life after death as they provide pastoral care to their grieving parishioners.
