The Psalter – According to the Seventy

This deluxe bilingual edition of the Psalms includes the Septuagint Greek text with an English translation. Unlike many other editions of the Psalms, this one has very carefully prepared and printed in proper poetic verses and on parallel opposite pages both the original Greek translation of the Hebrew psalms and of the English translation based upon the Greek text which has been used in the liturgical tradition of the Orthodox Church from the very beginning to the present time.

This printed structure facilitates the reader to recite and to comprehend each psalm by readily comparing the two parallel translations. In addition, the book includes the traditional Nine Odes Greek and English. The brief but incisive Endnotes for each of the psalms contribute to their fuller understanding and appreciation, as they are intended for prayerful and liturgical use and spiritual edification.
